One of the most anoying things is missing finds. For example mesolithic tool, lost 5 years ago. Not a chance to get it back or even get certificate. What a shame :/

It must be devastating for the finder when they 'lose' stuff.  It certainly doesn't give me confidence in the system for handing in unique items and they really need to get their act together and tighten up their recording/inventory procedures system for everybody's sake.  I think this is absolutely crucial if they want to promote confidence for finders handing in their finds.

I only hand in at the end of the general detecting season, for me, (I start bottle digging) unless an important find. That way they can deal with all in one and I only need to send once a year, I feel as though there is less chance of loosing it. I also email her pictures of finds before sending them encase they need reminded as to what they are looking for if lost.
I wonder if there is a period when things are quite in the offices of TT and the reason why they will not employ anyone else.
Are Stuart and Natasha not wanting to be seen as weak and reason why they are not approaching the proper authorities themselves?
Is it a money thin?

Guy's, I think the TT dept. is now up and running again, received a nice email updating me on all of the finds I sent in last year, hopefully 2018 will be better than last year.
